Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research sought to establish a new medical college at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The Ministry of Health initially approved the college conditionally for 2016–17 but refused permission for 2017–18 admissions, citing faculty and resident deficiencies.
