In Brief
Appellants challenged a promotion selection from Class IV to Class III posts in District Court, Muzaffarpur, after participating in a fresh selection round and being declared unsuccessful. The High Court's Single Judge had earlier quashed the selection, but the Division Bench set it aside, holding the appellants were estopped from challenging the process after participating in it. The Supreme Court affirmed the Division Bench, ruling that candidates who knowingly participate in a selection process without objection cannot subsequently challenge its fairness or methodology merely because they failed to succeed.
