Bowring Institute vs B.S. Ashok and Ors

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

The Bowring Institute appealed against a High Court order relating to three separate civil suits with related subject matters pending before two different courts in Bangalore. The Supreme Court allowed the appeal and directed that two of the suits be transferred from the 28th Additional City Civil Judge to the 37th Additional City Civil Judge for consolidation with the third suit already pending there. The Court held that consolidation would serve the interests of all parties and facilitate expeditious disposal, and directed the consolidated suits be tried before the commencement of summer vacation.
