Deepa and Yogesh Bhatia, parties to a contested divorce, settled their disputes through mediation and agreed to obtain a mutual consent divorce. They requested transfer of the pending divorce case from Udaipur to Patiala House for convenience. The Supreme Court approved the settlement, directed the parties to withdraw all pending civil and criminal cases, and transferred the divorce proceedings to Family Court, Patiala House so they could jointly apply for divorce under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
