A property partition dispute involving one-third share claimed by daughters of Ram Shetty led to conflicting judgments in the trial court and High Court. The Supreme Court found the parties had settled the matter by compromise agreement dated 12 April 2017. Though other co-sharers objected that the settlement sketch deviated from the High Court's final decree, the Court disposed of the appeal on the basis of the compromise, cautioning that if any co-sharer's decreed share is disturbed, they retain the right to pursue remedies in an appropriate forum.">
