Kala Ram vs State of Punjab & Anr

Bench: 2 — <UNKNOWN>, <UNKNOWN>

In Brief

Kala Ram sought anticipatory bail in connection with FIR No. 221 dated 1st November 2016 registered at P.S. Patran, District Patiala, Punjab. The Supreme Court, after considering the materials and the appellant's grievances, granted anticipatory bail. The Court directed that upon arrest, the appellant be released on bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Authority. The appellant was required to cooperate with investigation; failure to do so would permit the prosecution to seek cancellation of bail. The Arresting Authority was given discretion to impose appropriate conditions as deemed fit. The appeal was disposed of accordingly."
