The appellant was convicted of murder and attempted murder in a 1980 incident where six armed men fired on a group over a buffalo purchase dispute, killing the victim and injuring another. The conviction was upheld because two eyewitnesses (PW2 and PW3) clearly testified the appellant was present at the scene carrying a rifle. Although the injured witness (PW4) did not name the appellant and the murder weapon was not recovered, the Court found these omissions did not undermine the credible eyewitness evidence. Minor discrepancies in witness statements are acceptable; the standard is proof beyond reasonable doubt, not absolute certainty.
