The appellant sought transfer of a matrimonial case (divorce) from the Civil Judge (Senior Division) at Hukkeri to the Family Court at Bangalore. The High Court had declined this transfer. The Supreme Court found that transferring all related matrimonial matters to the Family Court at Bangalore would be more convenient for both parties, allowing them to be tried together at one forum. Accordingly, the Court set aside the High Court's order and transferred the case to the Family Court at Bangalore, while noting it expressed no opinion on the accuracy of statements made before the High Court.
