In Brief
Krishan Gopal Goel challenged High Court orders dismissing his application to modify an earlier order dated 22.07.2016 that had adversely affected him. The High Court had separately kept his impleadment application pending. The Supreme Court held this approach irregular, as both applications should have been heard together. The Court allowed the appeal by: setting aside the dismissal order, directing the High Court to hear the modification application, and impleading Goel as an additional respondent. The High Court was given three months to pass fresh orders on the modification application.
