Mahesh Singh Kishor Singh vs Chief General Manager Nagpur Area & Anr

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

Mahesh Singh was aggrieved after the High Court relegated him to alternative remedies instead of granting relief. Meanwhile, his co-accused, Chirkute Moje, was reinstated by the Appellate Authority, but Mahesh Singh's request was rejected. The Supreme Court allowed the appeal and directed the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Western Coalfields Limited to consider Mahesh Singh's pending representation on merits and after affording him a hearing. The Court clarified that the High Court's judgment relegating him to alternative remedies should not obstruct this reconsideration.
