Manish Solanki @ Bansi vs State of Rajasthan

Bench: 3 — <UNKNOWN>

In Brief

Manish Solanki was arrested in September 2017 and charged with offences under the Indian Penal Code (kidnapping, dacoity, voluntarily causing hurt, and criminal conspiracy) and the SC/ST Atrocities Act. After remaining in custody for an extended period, he appealed to the Supreme Court for bail. The Court found that further detention would hamper the fair conduct of his trial and, considering the totality of circumstances and custody period already served, ordered his release on bail subject to such conditions as the trial Court deems appropriate.
