Ten petitioners with criminal cases pending in different trial courts in Delhi sought consolidation before a single court for expeditious disposal. The Supreme Court allowed the petition and directed transfer of all stated cases to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, South-East, Saket Court Complex. The Court directed the designated court to dispose of all cases expeditiously within eight weeks and directed that copies of the order be forwarded to the concerned court and the High Court of Delhi Registrar General for necessary action.
