Minal Shardul Shah sought transfer of matrimonial proceedings filed by her husband Shardul Narendra Shah from the Family Court at Ahmedabad, Gujarat to the Family Court at Nashik, Maharashtra, under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. The respondent did not object to the transfer. The Supreme Court allowed the transfer petition, directing the Ahmedabad Family Court to transmit all records to the Nashik Family Court immediately. The transferee court was instructed to decide the case expeditiously. The Registry was directed to inform both courts of the order immediately.
