Mohd. Aleem was accused of fraudulently obtaining bank loans by falsely claiming to be a doctor. The High Court had rejected his bail plea. The Supreme Court allowed his appeal and granted bail, noting that he had already repaid Rs. 2.13 lakhs of the Rs. 6.99 lakhs loan and undertook to repay the remainder within three months. Bail was granted subject to depositing Rs. 25,000 cash security with two sureties. If the balance was not repaid within three months, the bail would be automatically cancelled.
