In Brief
P. Pramila Rani claimed to be the daughter of the late A. Punnuswamy Naidu in a succession dispute. The High Court had dismissed her claims, but the Supreme Court directed the trial court to receive additional evidence on this vital factual question. After reviewing the new evidence, which supported her claim of parentage, the Court set aside the High Court's earlier judgments and remitted the matter for reconsideration in light of all evidence, particularly the newly adduced testimony about her relationship to the deceased.
