In Brief
A tenant challenged orders passed by the Rent Controller, Appellate Authority, and High Court finding that the landlord had acquired ownership of the rented premises. The Supreme Court found all three forums had concurrently determined the respondents' bonafide ownership and rejected the tenant's challenge to their title. The Court held no reason existed to disturb these concurrent findings. The appeal was dismissed, though the tenant was granted time until December 2017 to vacate and required to pay monthly occupation charges of Rs. 500 from March 2017.
