State of Karnataka vs Common Cause & Ors. Etc. Etc

Bench: 2 — <UNKNOWN>, <UNKNOWN>

In Brief

This review petition addressed publication of photographs in government documents. The Supreme Court modified its earlier judgment by extending an exception that allowed the President, Prime Minister and Chief Justice to control publication of their photographs to also cover Governors and Chief Ministers of States. The Court further permitted the publication of photographs of Cabinet Ministers in-charge of respective Ministries in place of the Prime Minister's or Chief Minister's photographs, if desired. All other directions in the original judgment remained unchanged."> </invoke>
