The Supreme Court dismissed as withdrawn an interlocutory application for intervention/impleadment in related civil appeals filed by the State of Karnataka against the State of Tamil Nadu and others. The Court heard submissions on how to manage three pending appeals expected to require approximately three weeks of hearing. It fixed hearing dates commencing 7 February 2017 at 2.00 p.m. on a day-to-day basis, and directed the parties to submit preliminary written notes of submissions by that date. The interim orders previously granted in the appeals were directed to remain in force pending final decision."
