In Brief
The State of Tamil Nadu filed a contempt petition against the Chief Minister of Karnataka and others in relation to Civil Appeal No. 2456 of 2007. The Supreme Court, after disposing of the underlying civil appeal, decided not to proceed with the contempt petition. The Court held that since the substantive appeal had already been decided, there was no need to pursue the contempt proceedings separately. The petition was closed accordingly."> </invoke>
