This review petition challenged the High Court's enhancement of motor accident compensation from Rs. 14,42,416/- (at 8% interest) to Rs. 46,89,972/- (at 6% interest). The petitioner filed 43 days late, which the Court condoned. Upon examination, the Court found that the High Court had properly considered all relevant factors before arriving at the enhanced amount. Finding no error apparent on record to justify interference, the Supreme Court dismissed the review petition.
