In Brief
The Supreme Court dismissed two review petitions filed by the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Ahmednagar, challenging earlier orders of the Labour Court and High Court. While condoning the delay in filing, the Court found no error in the lower courts' decisions on merits and upheld them. However, the Court modified the rate of interest awarded from twelve per cent to eight per cent per annum. Applications for open Court listing were also dismissed, with the review petitions disposed accordingly.
