In Brief
Union of India appealed against a Tribunal's order involving the supersession of original demands by fresh demands. The Supreme Court found no error in the Tribunal's approach of proceeding on the basis of the fresh demands that had been issued in place of the original ones. The Court held that when fresh demands supersede original demands, it is proper for the Tribunal to consider the fresh demands as the operative basis. Both civil appeals were dismissed without costs.
