The Supreme Court held that while the Corporation is indeed a government undertaking, the bare land leased to the respondent did not constitute 'Government premises' under the Act, as the statutory definition of 'premises' requires a building, hut, or room with appurtenant land—not bare land alone. The Court found the Corporation lacked jurisdiction to evict under the Act and reserved the right to pursue eviction under the Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1962 instead. The appeal was dismissed."
