This appeal challenged the sentence of life imprisonment awarded by the trial court and affirmed by the High Court for attempt to murder and related offences. Three accused armed with country-made pistols fired at family members with common intention to kill, causing grievous gunshot injuries to the head and abdomen. The pregnant victim lost her stillborn child; two other victims survived but with serious injuries.
