A sister and brother in dispute over partition of property approached the Supreme Court by way of appeal against a High Court order. The Court encouraged the parties to settle their differences, and after hearing the matter, both parties agreed to a compromise. The Supreme Court accepted the settlement deed signed by both parties on 21 August 2017 and disposed of the appeal accordingly, directing that the decree be drawn in terms of the compromise, without awarding costs.
