The Bulandshahr Khurja Development Authority deposited land acquisition compensation at Rs. 150 per Sq. Yard, following which the Supreme Court directed release at Rs. 103.50 per Sq. Yard without prejudice to claims for enhancement. A dispute arose regarding the correct calculation and payment method. The Court held that since computation was disputed and proceedings were pending in the High Court, the Supreme Court should not adjudicate the calculation at this stage. The parties retained full liberty to challenge the quantum and mode of payment before the High Court. The balance compensation amount in the Supreme Court Registry was ordered transferred to the High Court."
