The Delhi Dayalbagh House Building Society challenged a Registrar's order dated 2nd July 2013 passed under the Delhi Cooperative Societies Act, 2003, claiming prior High Court observations had prejudiced its position. The Supreme Court found no such prejudicial observations in the High Court's judgment and noted the Registrar's order resulted from an independent committee inquiry. Finding a statutory appeal remedy available under Section 112 of the Act, the Court declined to entertain the direct appeal but granted 60 days to file the statutory appeal, directing it be treated as timely and decided on merits."
