The Director of Income Tax (International Taxation)-1 filed a Special Leave Petition challenging a High Court judgment in favor of A.P. Moller Maersk A/S in an international taxation dispute. Although the delay in filing was condoned, the Supreme Court dismissed the petition, noting that a related Civil Appeal No. 8040 of 2015 involving the same parties had already been decided, rendering the present petition moot.
