Doris John and another appealed a High Court order that had reversed the Trial Court's dismissal of an eviction petition. The Supreme Court, observing the parties' willingness to settle, referred them to the Bangalore Mediation Centre. The parties reached an amicable settlement and filed a Memorandum of Settlement dated 30 May 2018. The Court disposed of the appeal in terms of the settlement, with a decree to be drawn accordingly and no orders as to costs.
