Hammad Ahmed, appointed Chief Mutawalli of Hamdard Laboratories (an institution governed by a 1948 Wakf Deed), sought relief to operate bank accounts exclusively as sole signatory and to restrain respondents from interfering in Hamdard's operations. The High Court's Single Bench had rejected his request for exclusive control over bank accounts. When this appeal restored that order, Ahmad sought clarification through miscellaneous applications. The Court found an inadvertent error in its earlier judgment: it had incorrectly referred to the 2015 resolution (governing joint signing of two bank accounts) as relating to Hamdard's 'management' when it only governed 'banking operations'. The Court corrected this language but upheld that exclusive signatory rights were neither granted by the Single Bench nor by the appellate court. The applications were dismissed."
