This matter concerned disputes between the Department of Telecommunications and telecom operators Vodafone and Idea over Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) demands. The Department withdrew 96% of its demands against Public Sector Undertakings, with a final decision on the remaining 4% deferred to the next hearing. The Court directed telecom operators to file audited balance sheets for the last 10 years, income tax returns, and AGR deposit particulars, and to make reasonable interim payments to demonstrate good faith.
