Bench: 2 — <UNKNOWN>, <UNKNOWN>

In Brief

Four men were convicted of murdering Mandar Singh on 26 February 2000, allegedly in retaliation for injuries previously inflicted on their father. The victim's mother and husband, both eyewitnesses, testified that the accused attacked the deceased with gandasas near a tomb. The trial court convicted all four under Section 302 read with Section 34 IPC, imposing life imprisonment. One accused, a juvenile, had his sentence reduced under juvenile justice laws. The High Court affirmed the convictions and sentences. On appeal, the Supreme Court upheld the verdict, finding credible eyewitness evidence and concurrent court findings. The appeal was dismissed.
