In Brief
These consolidated civil appeals challenged land allotments in a Special Economic Zone in Goa. During proceedings, the Government issued an order dated 30 July 2018 directing the withdrawal of all allotments (covering approximately 3.84 million square metres across seven parties) and refunding the amounts paid, plus accrued interest (totalling Rs. 256.57 crore). The appellants accepted this settlement. The Supreme Court disposed of all appeals by directing the Industrial Development Corporation to execute the refund within three months, making the Government's policy decision judicially enforceable."
