These consolidated appeals concerned the allotment of land in a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Goa. The Court was presented with a Government Order dated 30 July 2018 in which the Council of Ministers resolved to take back all lands previously allotted to seven parties for SEZ purposes and refund the amounts paid by those parties, including accrued interest totalling approximately Rs. 256.57 crore. The appellants accepted this resolution. The Court disposed of all appeals in terms of the Government Order and directed the Industrial Development Corporation to execute the refund within three months.
