The tenants disputed the condition of the premises. The Court appointed an independent two-member committee to inspect the building and report on its structural condition. The committee found one segment completely unfit for habitation and requiring demolition, another segment fit for habitation, and a third segment vulnerable requiring reinforcement. The Court directed the landlord to demolish the dangerous segment and repair the vulnerable one, while allowing the landlord to pursue pending eviction proceedings independently. The appeal was partly allowed.
