Lovely Bal Shiksha Parishad, a school society, challenged the Delhi Development Authority's decision to reduce land allotted for a middle school and reallocate part of it to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for a primary school. The High Court had issued directions to both parties. The Supreme Court, accepting the Chief Secretary's report after examining viability, upheld the reduced allocations (1.354 acres to the society, 1.345 acres to MCD) as sufficient for each institution under current master-planning standards and directed the DDA to confirm the allotments accordingly.
