Pampati Sathamma's legal heirs appealed against a High Court judgment concerning distribution of property among family members. The Supreme Court, exercising its discretionary powers under Article 136 of the Constitution, set aside the High Court's decision and directed the respondent to transfer one-third of the disputed properties to the appellants (the deceased's sister and her heirs) within six months. The Court noted that if the appellants dispute the respondent's property valuation of approximately Rs. 60 lakhs, they may challenge it before the Trial Court during execution proceedings.
