Prem Chand Sharma and Shiv Prasad, two real brothers, had a dispute that reached the Supreme Court. The Court suggested exploring an amicable settlement. Both parties, with their counsel, participated in mediation at the Supreme Court Mediation Centre and successfully reached a settlement agreement dated 12 May 2016. The Supreme Court disposed of the Civil Appeal in terms of this settlement. The related First Appeal pending before the Uttarakhand High Court was also disposed of accordingly.
