This case involved civil appeals arising from a suit for partition filed in 1980, spanning over three decades of litigation. When the matter reached the Supreme Court, the parties were referred to the Kerala Mediation Centre. Through mediation efforts by the learned counsel and Mr. A.R. George, Advocate, the parties successfully reached an amicable settlement on 8 December 2015. The Court disposed of all appeals in terms of the Memorandum of Settlement, which was incorporated into the judgment, and commended the parties and mediator for resolving the long-standing family dispute peacefully.
