Ram Vijay Singh was convicted of murder (Section 302 IPC read with Section 34) for his participation in an attack that killed a person. He later claimed he was a juvenile at the time of the offence (July 1982). The Court rejected this claim, holding that a medical age determination test conducted in 2020 (when he was 40-55 years old) cannot reliably determine his age four decades earlier. Critically, the Court found his own 1981 Arms Licence application stating his birth date as 30.12.1961, proving he was over 21 at the time of the incident. The Court upheld his conviction, finding credible evidence of his role in the attack and rejecting arguments about witness credibility and non-examination of other potential witnesses.
