The trial court decreed the redemption suit for all four properties, but the High Court partially reversed it regarding the two properties covered by sale agreements. The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's decision, holding that sale agreements cannot be defeated by a redemption suit under Section 53A of the Transfer of Property Act. The Court also found that the defendants' lack of readiness and willingness to comply with the sale terms had been properly established by the lower courts. The appeal was dismissed.
