This is an interim order in a writ petition before the Supreme Court under Article 136 of the Constitution of India. The Court, after hearing arguments from counsel for both the petitioner and the Union of India in part, adjourned the case for further hearing on 13 April 2017. The Court directed all parties to file written notes of submissions along with a convenience volume, with the Solicitor General of India also undertaking to assist in filing such submissions. The matter was put up for continuation of hearing to enable full consideration before final determination.
