In Brief
The Supreme Court dismissed a petition by SK Jalaluddin and others challenging their expulsion from membership of a cooperative housing society governed by West Bengal Co-operative Societies Rules, 2011. The petitioners had failed to deposit required amounts despite repeated opportunities granted at multiple administrative and judicial levels. After the expulsion order became final and the flats were allotted to compliant members, the Court found no merit in recalling the expulsion order. The petition was dismissed as the petitioners had not complied with earlier directives.
