Supreme Court of India 2017-03-06 remanded

State of Punjab and Ors etc. etc vs Hemant Rai etc. etc

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

The Supreme Court set aside the High Court's orders in these batch civil appeals and remitted the matters back to the High Court for fresh consideration. The Court found that these appeals arose from common orders that were the subject of an earlier judgment dated 11 January 2017. Rather than deciding the cases separately, the Court ordered them to be consolidated with the batch of appeals already remitted by the earlier judgment, so the High Court could consider all related matters together. Fresh notice was directed to be issued to the respondents.
