Sudhakar Baburao Nangnure etc vs Noreshwar Raghunathrao Shende & Ors. etc

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

Sudhakar Baburao Nangnure and others appealed against an interim order in three writ petitions concerning promotion and seniority in employment as Director of Town Planning, Maharashtra. The Supreme Court disposed of the Special Leave Petitions and requested the High Court to expeditiously decide the underlying writ petitions. After the Review Petitions were dismissed and matters remained pending, the Court directed that the writ petitions be posted as the first item before the High Court on 31 October 2017, to be finally heard and disposed of within ten days. The parties were given liberty to mention the matter before the Supreme Court on 14 November 2017 if the High Court failed to comply.
