In Brief
Suraz India Trust and its Chairman, represented in person, filed over 60 public interest petitions without any success, casting scandalous accusations against judges at all levels and repeatedly misinterpreting Court orders to file frivolous contempt petitions. The Supreme Court found the Trust's litigation pattern to be thoughtless and frivolous, wasting significant judicial time. Despite opportunities to withdraw or provide justification, the Trust persisted. The Court restrained the Trust and its Chairman from filing any further public interest litigation, imposed exemplary costs of Rs 25 lakhs, and disposed of the petition to deter similar abuse of Court process.
