Suryabhan (D) Thr. His Lrs & Ors vs Sau. Bhagirathibai @ Vatsalabai Tulshidas Chavan (Since Deceased) Thr Her Lrs & Ors

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

A family partition dispute was pending as a civil appeal before the Supreme Court. During the pendency of the appeal, the parties (successors to Suryabhan and Bhagirathibai Chavan) reached a compromise settlement. The Court, noting with approval that the parties had resolved their differences amicably through a Deed of Compromise dated 18.04.2016, disposed of the appeal and incorporated the compromise deed as part of the judicial decree, thereby giving legal effect to the settlement and avoiding further litigation.
