Two review petitions challenging an order dated 1 September 2016 in civil appeals were filed beyond the prescribed limitation period—the first delayed by 70 days, the second by 138 days. The petitioners sought to challenge this original order under Article 137 of the Constitution. The Supreme Court, after examining the petitions and supporting documentation, found no justification to condone the delay in filing and no substantive grounds warranting review of the impugned order. Consequently, both review petitions were dismissed on grounds of delay as well as on merits.
