UNION OF INDIA vs SHRI HARANANDA

Bench: 2 — Indira Banerjee, M.R. Shah

In Brief

The Supreme Court considered two modification applications arising from a prior judgment dated 5 February 2019 concerning the grant of Organised Group 'A' Central Services to paramilitary forces. The Court allowed the Ministry of Home Affairs' application to correct a clerical error in the SLP reference and to replace the term 'RPF' with 'CAPFs' throughout the judgment. The Court rejected the Indian Police Service Central Association's request for further clarification regarding deputation rights, holding that such rights were not in issue before the Court and that paragraph 26 of the original judgment already addressed the matter."
