Supreme Court of India 2017-07-13 dismissed

Vinod Kumar Khajuria & Anr vs State of Jammu and Kashmir & Ors. etc

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

These civil appeals challenged the selection and appointment of Horticulture Development Officers in Jammu and Kashmir. The original notification for selection was issued in 1997, but appointments only took place in 2006 following High Court orders. The Supreme Court examined the High Court's Division Bench order and found no merit in the appellants' challenges. The Court noted that all candidates had participated in the screening test, the Public Service Commission had not compromised merit, and that not all affected parties had been represented before the trial judge. Accordingly, all connected appeals were dismissed with no order as to costs."
